Quick start

Get AmazingForms installed and build your first AI-generated form in under 5 minutes.

1. Install the plugin

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New
  2. Search for AmazingForms
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate

Manual install

  1. Download the plugin ZIP from wordpress.org/plugins/amazingforms
  2. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
  3. Upload the ZIP and activate

2. Complete setup

After activation, a setup wizard launches automatically.

  1. Connect AI — choose managed credits (built-in, no key needed) or bring your own API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, or any compatible provider)
  2. Set sender details — name and email for automated replies
  3. Done — the plugin is ready

3. Build your first form

Section titled “3. Build your first form”

Go to AmazingForms → New Form in your WordPress admin.

You will see a prompt box. Type what you need:

A contact form for my landscaping business. Collect name, email, phone,
and a description of the project. After submission, send a confirmation
email and add the lead to my CRM.

Click Build. In a few seconds you will see:

  • The form fields generated and ready to preview
  • A workflow that sends the confirmation email
  • The CRM integration wired up

4. Review and publish

In the visual editor you can:

  • Drag to reorder fields
  • Edit labels, placeholders, and help text
  • Add or remove fields
  • Adjust the workflow (edit the automation or add more steps)

When you are happy, click Publish. Copy the shortcode ([amazingforms id="1"]) or use the block editor widget to add it to any page.

5. Test it

Submit a test entry. Then check:

  • AmazingForms → CRM — your contact should appear
  • AmazingForms → Submissions — the raw entry is there
  • Your inbox — the confirmation email should have arrived

That is it. You have a form that captures leads, stores them in a CRM, and auto-replies — all without writing a line of code.
